The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker this new, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
